USBCNC was the original name of EdingCNC. This name was at the time chosen because our CNC controllers as one of tge first controllers used USB to communicate between the PC and the controller. At the time, available CNC controllers still used a parallel port to directly control the CNC signals; with all problems that causes this solution.
The next step was developing an ethernet interface to improve reliability even further...BUT...using USBCNC as company name is then no longer a good name to use. Therefor it was changed to 'EdingCNC'.
